An African Girl

There was once an African girl I met
She was out of the planet.
She was as sweet as milk,
And had smooth skin like silk.

At her long dark hair
And dark red lips.
They all stood and gazed
And everyone was dazed.
I fell into a ditch,
Staring at the witch.

Sometimes, there are a lot of things one ought to be grateful for, but  most times we aren't, simply just carried away by the cares of life that we never stopped and realized how fortunate we have been.
