Wake up Call

I had read so much about him.
In my mind, he remained a mystery.
The different accounts of him,
Intrigues me still.
We all lust after him,
The old regret never meeting him.
The young always hope to see him.

Only until recently,
I heard he could be found,
Somewhere in the West of Africa.
In the South Eastern part of Nigeria.
I became disillusioned.
Why such a great man
Couldn't help his brethren?
They paid him no respect at home,
And so he left home.
To those who knew his worth.
Please, my brothers!
Let's bring him back
For he is our only hope,
Out of this inertia.
The spirit of the Igbo-Man
Is the escape from this stagnation.
In fact, it is the escape velocity
We need to soar high,
Far beyond the sky
Even into the space.

I am also a 100% certain that my siblings all over the world project a similar mindset as you can find them evidently all around the globe causing wonders, conquering as ...
